To better serve patients with diverse rehabilitation needs, a general hospital in Guangdong Province is planning a major upgrade of its rehabilitation department, covering approximately 3,000 square meters. The facility will incorporate a range of advanced intelligent rehabilitation devices to enhance the hospital’s overall service level.
The Savaria fixed ceiling lift system Monarch, has been selected as one of the key rehabilitation devices to support patients with limited mobility. Designed to facilitate physical rehabilitation therapies such as walking training and activity assistance, the system includes four Monarch ceiling lift motors, 28 meters of straight track, and four 90-degree curved tracks, totalling approximately 34 meters in length. Installation and load testing were completed by the end of February 2025.
The Monarch ceiling lift supports up to 272 kg and is powered by an overhead motor. It utilizes a universal turntable to allow smooth transitions between tracks in different directions. This system assists patients with daily activities such as transferring, toileting, and bathing. To ensure caregivers are fully equipped to operate the system and assist patients effectively, Savaria engineer Mr. Pang provided hands-on training on the key features and controls of the Monarch lift.
